Myles was born in 1968 and did a variety of jobs before going to university in 2014. He gained a First Class Honours Degree in Fine Art at the Swansea College of Art in 2017 and practices as a full time artist in Swansea while studying part time for his Masters Degree.
Myles paints in watercolour, oil, acrylic and mixed media/collage. He also sculpts in steel and uses recycled materials for his sculptures, he has made Sculptures to commission for Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm in St Davids and The National Botanic Garden of Wales. His First World War Soldier sculpture was used in the series of commemorative performances in september 2018 for the Now The Hero events in Swansea put together by the artist Marc Rees.
Myles sees himself as primarily a painter and has been selected for national competitions three years in a row, exhibiting in London and Newtown Wales.

2017 Created welded steel large-scale sculptures of various insects for Dr Beynon’s Bug Farm in St David’s Pembrokeshire, culminating in two-day residency.
2017 Created sculpture for Burryport community heritage project culminating in open day supervising public project cladding of sculpture in scrap materials.
2017 Created large scale steel sculpture for Cross Pollination Research Project (UWTSD) Arts and Humanities Research Council, and Arts Council Wales funded art science project. (9 artists, 9 scientists) Exhibition at the National Botanic Garden of Wales July/August 2017. Exhibitor and Workshop Leader.
